The requisitions made on the Treasurer by the clerk

in charge were supposed to be based on the stock in hand. This could only be done by taking stock or by taking the word of the

shroff.

On the last occasion it must have peeu made on the

vord of the shroff es I held up the requisition in order to take stock and did not issue the steps till after the enroff had

absconded.

Note. (Mr.Aquino now admits that it was made on a note

supplied by the shroff).
